ADMISSIONS OVERVIEW

Academics at GIST are structured around 8 Departments. A student should join in one of the department based on his option. Research centers are also part of the schools, encouraging inter-departmental collaboration and opportunity for students to participate in exciting research projects.

Eligibility
Regular

The College is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. The student admissions are governed by the rules and regulations of APSCHE.
The student admissions are based on the rank obtained in EAMCET/ECET/ICET entrance tests for B.Tech /MBA respectively.
The Student admissions are based on the rank obtained in GATE / PG-ECET entrance tests for M.Tech (any discipline).
The diploma student admissions are based on the rank obtained in CEEP organized by State Board of Technical Education and Training, AP.

Lateral Entry

20% of students are allotted for students who complete three years diploma to join in the 2nd year B.Tech program. The admissions are governed by the rules and regulations of APSCHE and ECET.

NRI

The College has a provision to admit the NRI students/in lieu of NRI in each branch (except Diploma) every year. 30% of the sanctioned intake is being filled with the NRI students, which is in line with the eligibility criteria laid down by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.
